A particularly photogenic “hoodoo,” Thor’s Hammer is one of the marquis sights at Bryce Canyon National Park, in Utah:

The somewhat surprising thing is how (relatively) easy this is to get to — unlike many of the National Park system’s big sights, this is accessible even by those with mobility impairments.  I made this photo at the top of the Navajo Loop trail, an easy / flat walk from the trailhead and parking lot.
