The Grumman F-14 Tomcat — a twin-engine, variable-sweep wing fighter in service with the U. S. Navy from 1974 – 2006.

This copy, seen at the Wings over the Rockies Air & Space Museum, spent much of its career as a test and evaluation aircraft. It’s painted in the colors of the VF-211 Fighting Checkmates attached to the USS John C. Stennis.
