On a trip through Glacier National Park, we ran across a stack of small thin rocks that someone had made near one of the visitors’ centers:
Maybe it was built on a lark by one person, maybe it was the product of many individuals as they passed through. Just the same, it was a nice bit of whimsy to find in the middle of a long road trip…

Can you call a squabble a territorial dispute when it takes place on water? At any rate, we were headed out of the Phoenix zoo when we saw these two trying to settle boundary issues with each other:
In the end, one of them turned tail and swam off, with the winner in pursuit.
A few weeks back, I managed to get a little “me time” for a photowalk in the neighborhood. Here’s one of my captures from that stroll:
I spotted this little guy on a bush while we were out looking at plantations in the Virginia countryside.
Given that we were primarily looking at the architecture, I’m glad I accidentally spotted him…
